Days 1-3: London
After arriving in London, we'll spend our first full day visiting the Churchill War Rooms before taking swing dance lessons to learn about the lives of American soldiers in England before deployment.
We'll then spend our second full day on a day trip to Aldbourne where the 101st Airborne Division trained before their deployment on the Normandy Invasion.
Days 4-7: Paris
After arriving in Paris via the Chunnel, we'll visit the Deportation Martyrs Memorial to learn about life in Occupied France.
We'll then spend our first full day in France on a day trip to the beaches and nearby settlements of Normandy to see the locations where troops came ashore and where the troops of the 101st liberated in the campaign.
We'll then spend our third full day in Paris with visits to the Museum of Liberation of Paris and the Memorial de la Shoah to learn more about the liberation of France and the impact of German occupation on French Jewish communities.
Participants will then get a free day to explore the history and culture of Paris before we leave for our third location.
Days 8-10: Amsterdam
After taking a train to Amsterdam, we'll visit Hollandsche Shouwburg- the city's Holocaust Memorial.
We'll then spend our first full day in the Netherlands on a day trip to Eindhoven to visit the locations of the failed Market Garden campaign.
For our last day in Amsterdam, we'll learn more about Dutch resistance with visits to both the Resistance Museum and the Anne Frank House to learn about life in occupied Netherlands.
Days 11-14: Liege
After taking a train to Liege, we'll spend the afternoon visiting the remains of Fortress Liege.
We'll then spend our first full day in Belgium on a day trip to Bastogne and Foy to learn about the role of the troops of the 101st in the Battle of the Bulge.
We'll then spend our final day exploring the remains of Fort Eben-Emael for a final lesson on the role of the 101st on the Western Front.
Days 15-17: Hamburg
After taking a train to Hamburg, we'll spend our first full day in Germany on a day trip to Neuengamme Concentration Camp to learn about the Holocaust in Germany.
We'll then spend our second full day exploring the St. Nikolai Memorial and the Bornplatz Synogogue to learn more about the impact of WWII on Germany's Jewish communities.
Days 18-21: Innsbruck
After taking a train to Innsbruck, we'll spend our first full day in Austria on a trip to Berchtesgaden to learn about the Nazi rise to power- and it's eventual downfall.
We'll then spend our second full day in Austria on a morning hike on the Goetheweg Trail to learn about the end of the Second World War in Europe.
Itineraries and daily schedules are subject to change. We expect to do everything listed in the itinerary, though the order may be rearranged based on weather or other local conditions.
