Days 1-8: Toledo

After arriving in Toledo, we'll spend our first full day learning about the impact of religion on Cervantes' era with visits to Catedral Primada and the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes.

We'll the spend our second full day exploring the historical architecutre of Toledo with visits to Casco Historico de Toledo and Museo de Santa Cruz.

For our third full day in the country, we'll take a day trip to explore the Windmills of Consuegra which inspired Cervantes to write his novel Don Quixote.

We'll then spend our fourth full day on a day trip to nearby Cuenca to explore the Medieval architecture of this well-preserved walled city.

We'll then spend our sixth full day exploring the Medieval amusement park Puy du Fou España for a final look at the world of Medieval Spain through the same romanticized eyes of Miguel de Cervantes' most beloved character.

Participants will then get a free day to explore la Mancha on their own and learn more about the local history and culture for their final full day before departure.

Itineraries and daily schedules are subject to change. We expect to do everything listed in the itinerary, though the order may be rearranged based on weather or other local conditions.
