Days 1-5: Reykjavik

After arriving in Iceland, we'll spend our first full day exploring the folklore and mythology of Iceland with visits to Alfaskolinn and Asatru Temple.

We'll then spend our second day learning more about contemporary culture with visits to the church of Hallgrimskirkja and the concert hall of Harpa.

For our third full day in Iceland, we'll tour the literary museum of Gljufrasteinn before catching a show at the Mengi concert venue.

For our final day in Reykjavik, we'll explore the Arbaer Open Air Museum the Hannesarholt cultural center to get a taste of Icelandic cuisine.

Days 6-9: Akureyri

After catching a bus to Akureyri, we'll hike to the incredible Godafoss waterfall to see how nature has inspired Icelandic folklore.

Participants will then get a day to freely explore the town and its surrounding countryside, history, and culture.

We'll then spend our second full day in Akureyri touring the Old Farmhouse Laufas before hiking the Hrisey Red Trail for another look at rural and wild Iceland.

For our final day in Akureyri, we'll learn about the history of the town at the Akureyri Museum before catching a show at the Hof Culture and Conference Center.

Days 10-14: Keflavik

After catching a bus to Keflavik, we'll take a look at the highly artistic water tower of Uppspretta.

We'll then spend our first full day in Keflavik learning more about the linguistic history of Iceland with a visit to the Viking World museum before exploring music history at the Icelandic Museum of Rock & Roll.

We'll then get another history lesson with a tour to the History Museum of Reykjanesbaer before going for an afternoon hike to Fagradalsfjall volcano.

We'll the spend our last day in Iceland on a final outdoor adventure exploring Giantess Cave and the folklore attached to it.

Itineraries and daily schedules are subject to change. We expect to do everything listed in the itinerary, though the order may be rearranged based on weather or other local conditions.
