Days 1-8: Kathmandu
After arriving in Kathmandu, we'll spend our first full day in Nepal learning about urban animals with visits to the Swayambhunath Monkey Temple and the KAT Center for animal rehabilitation.
We'll the spend our second full day on a day trip to the incredible beauty of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park in hopes of spotting Nepal's incredible wild flora and fauna.

For our third full day in Kathmandu, we'll explore the city's Garden of Dreams and the Ranibari Community Forest to learn about floral and ornithological conservation efforts.
We'll then spend our fourth day learning more about the relationship between wildlife conservation and cultural conservation with visits to the Central Zoo and the nearby village of Bungamati.

We'll then spend our fifth full day in Nepal on a day trip to nearby Dhulikhel where religious sites and wild environments combine.
Participants will then get a free day to explore Kathmandu on their own and learn more about the local history and culture.

Days 1-8: Kathmandu
After arriving in Nepal, we'll spend our first full day learning about the art and architecture of the country with visits to the Museum of Nepali Art and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

We'll the spend our second full day learning about the role of religion in the country's culture with visits to Kumari Ghar and the Boudhanath Stupa.
For our third full day in Kathmandu, we'll spend the day learning about Nepal's unique culinary culture with cooking classes in traditional Nepalese cuisine and dinner at Utpala Cafe at the Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery.
We'll then spend our fourth full day on a day trip to nearby Dhulikhel to explore the monasteries, temples, and architecture of this serene town.

After that, we'll spend our next day visiting Local Women's Handicrafts- an ethical women's organization creating souvenirs to sell for funding women's leadership and empowerment programs.
Participants will then get a free day to explore Kathmandu on their own and learn more about the local history and culture for their final full day before departure.

Days 1-8: Amritsar
After arriving in Punjab, we'll spend our first full day learning about the Sikh religion with visits to the Golden Temple and Akal Takht.
​
We'll the spend our second full day learning about the history of the region with visits to Pul Kanjri and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum.
For our third full day in Punjab, we'll take a day trip to nearby Ludhiana to explore the city's historic architecture, fortresses, and temples.
We'll then spend our fourth full day in Amritsar learning about more modern history of the region with visits to Gobindgarh Fort and the Partition Museum.

After that, we'll spend our next day learning more about the influence of the Sikh religion on Punjab with visits to Ram Tirath Temple and the Central Sikh Museum.
Participants will then get a free day to explore Amritsar on their own and learn more about the local history and culture for their final full day before departure.
