Days 1-8: Porto

After arriving in Porto, we'll then spend our first full day traversing the open air market of Mercado de Bolhao before touring one of Portugal's oldest port wine cellars of Caves Ferreira.

For our second full day in Porto, we'll take a day trip to nearby Braga home to a thousand year old church in a two thousand year old city.

We'll then spend our third full day in Porto exploring the gold-laden interior of Igreja de São Francisco before getting dinner from a Portuguese-African fusion restaurant Morabeza Boavista.

For our second full day in We'll then learn more about Portugal's storytelling tradition with a visit to the incredibly beautiful bookstore of Livraria Lello before catching a live performance at the Teatro Nacional Sao Joao.

We'll then spend our fifth full day in Portugal on a day trip to the beautiful seaside town of Matosinhos to explore the incredible town and relax on its beaches.

Participants will then get a day to freely explore Porto to visit any final locations on their bucket lists before we head off to our next destination.​

Days 1-4: Toledo

The morning after arriving in Toledo, we'll learn about Spain during the decades following the collapse of the Western Roman Empire with a visit to the Roman Circus of Toledo and the Toledo History Museum.

On our second full day, we'll learn about the early impact of the arrival of the Germanic Visigoths to the Iberian Peninsula at the Museo de los Concilios y de la Cultura Visigoda as well as the history of early Sephardic settlers to the region at the Sinagoga El Transito.

Finally, we'll end our time in Toledo with a day trip to the remains of the Visigothic cathedral of Santa Maria de Melque to learn about Visigothic Arianism and the arrival of Christianity to the Iberian Peninsula.

Days 5-7: Valencia

After taking a train to the Mediterranean coastal city of Valencia, we'll take a look at the impact Catholicism would have on Iberia with a visit to see what one church claims to be the true Holy Grail before visiting the Valencia History Museum.

Participants will then get the chance to explore the incredible city on their own for our final day in the city before we head to our next destination of Granada.

Days 8-10: Granada

After taking the train to Granada, we'll head to a restaurant serving recipes handed down from Spain's Islamic Era to taste the flavors of Al-Andalus.

On our first full day in Granada, we'll make a day trip to the Alhambra to learn about Islamic history in Medieval Spain, and the lasting impact the Umayyads and Almoravids would have on Iberian cultures today.

We'll then spend our final full day learning more about the history of Judaism in Medieval Iberia with visits to the Sephardic Museum and the Sephardic Memory Center.

Days 11-14: Lisbon

After taking the train to Lisbon, we'll spend our first full day in Portugal learning about the final decades of the Medieval Era with visits to the Castle of Sao Jorge and the Museo de Lisbon.

On our second day in the city, we'll learn more about the immediate aftermath of the Medieval Period with a visit to the Maritime Museum to learn about the ensuing Age of Exploration that would launch Spain and Portugal to imperial power.

Days 1-5: Bilbao

After arriving in Bilbao, we'll spend our first full day on a day trip exploring the Medieval Old Quarter of Casco Viejo before cycling on the Ria del Nervion trail.

We'll then spend our second day on a day trip to cycle around the picturesque coastal community of Lekeitio and touring its beaches and shops.

For our third full day in Spain, we'll spend the morning exploring the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum before cycling on the Armetzola trail in the afternoon.

For our final day in Bilbao, We'll go for a final day trip to the nearby town of Castro Urdiales- another coastal town with incredible Medieval architecture to explore.

Days 6-9: Donostia/ San Sebastian

After catching a train to Donostia, we'll spend the afternoon touring the San Telmo Museoa to learn about Basque culture and history.

Participants will then get a day to freely explore the city and its surrounding countryside, history, and culture.

We'll then spend our second full day in Donostia on a day trip to nearby Bozate in the beautiful foothills of the Pyrenees and filled with colorful village houses.

For our final day in Donostia, we'll explore the incredible Basilica de Santa Maria del Coro before cycling in the afternoon on the Ipar Intxaurrondo trail.

Days 10-14: Biarritz

After catching a train to Biarritz, take our explorers to spend the afternoon visiting the wonderful Aquarium de Biarritz.

We'll then spend our first full day on a day trip to nearby Hossegor to explore the French surfing village famous across the globe for its amazing beaches.

We'll then spend our second full day getting morning surfing lessons before spending the afternoon cycling on the Plage de Milady trail to explore the French Basque coast.

We'll the spend our last day in Basque Country with a final day trip to nearby Bayonne to cycle the city and take in its amazing architecture.
