Days 1-5: Tallinn

After arriving in Estonia, we'll spend our first full day in Tallinn exploring the history of the country with visits to the Estonia Open Air Museum and St. Catherine's Passage.

 

We'll then spend our second full day exploring Estonia's beautiful countryside on a day trip to nearby Lahemaa National Park.

On our third full day in Estonia, we'll explore the culture of Tallin with visits to the neighborhood of Toompea Hill and Balti Jaam Market.

Days 5-9: Riga

After taking the bus into Lativa, we'll spend the afternoon exploring Riga's Art Nouveau architecture.

We'll then spend our first full day in Lativa learning about the country's history on a day trip to Turaida Museum Reserve..

Participants will then get a free day to explore the culture and history of Riga and the surrounding area  on their own.

For our final day in Riga, we'll learn about Latvia's incredible nature with a day trip to nearby Kemeri National Park.

Days 10-14: Vilnius

After taking the bus to Vilnius, we'll spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful Church of Saint Anne.

For our first full day in Vilnius, we'll learn about the history of Lithuania with visits to the city's Old Town neighborhood and Gediminas Castle Tower.

We'll then spend our second full day in Vilnius learning about the country's relationship with visual and performing arts with trips to the Vilni Museum of Illusions and the Lithuanian National Opera & Ballet Theatre.

For our third full day in Lithuania, we'll explore the country's beautiful countryside with a day trip to nearby Kernavė.

We'll then spend our final day of the trip learning about the folk art of Lithuania with a visit to the Rumšiškės Open Air Museum.

14 Days in Warsaw, Poznan, & Krakow

Days 1-5: Warsaw

After arriving in Poland, we'll spend our first full day in Warsaw exploring the legends of the city's Old Town with visits to Warsaw Basilisk, Bazyliszek Restaurant, the Old Town Wishing Bell, and Mieszko the Stone Bear.

 

We'll then spend our second full day learning about the ghosts and guardians of Warsaw with visits to the Mermaid of Warsaw and the nearby haunted Wieliczka Salt Mine.

On our third full day in Poland, we'll go for a day hike in the nearby Kabaty Woods to see the nature that inspired Polish folklore.

We'll then spend our last day in Warsaw learning about the local legends of the city with a visit to the Shrine of St. Thaddaeus before getting dinner from Oberża Pod Czerwonym Wieprzem.

Days 6-9: Poznan

After taking the bus to Poznan, we'll spend the afternoon in the city's market square to see the Fighting Goats of Poznań.

Participants will then get a free day to explore the culture and history of Poznan and the surrounding area  on their own.

For our final day in Poznan, we'll learn about Poland's legendary origins of the croissant from the St. Martin’s Croissant Museum before exploring the headless sculptures of Nierozpoznani.

Days 10-14: Krakow

After taking a train to Krakow, we'll spending the afternoon exploring the city's legendary Wanda Mound.

For our first full day in Krakow, we'll learn about the city's local legends at Wawel Dragon's Den and Krakow Town Hall.

We'll then spend our second full day in Krakow on a day trip to nearby Łysa Góra- home to stories of local witches and Pre-Christian Slavic deities.

For our third full day in Krakow, we'll learn about the city's Medieval legends with visit to Wawel Castle and the vampires of the Rynek Underground.

We'll then spend our final day in Poland on a day trip to nearby Ogrodzieniec Castle haunted by the ghost of a ghastly black dog.

Days 1-8: Krakow

After arriving in Krakow, we'll spend our first full day learning about the religious history and art of Medieval Poland with visits to St. Mary's Basilica and Muzeum Witrazu.

We'll then spend our second full day learning about daily lives of the Medieval Polish with visits to Rynek Underground and Żywe Muzeum Obwarzanka.

We'll then spend our third full day in Poland on a day trip to Rudno to hike among the ruins of Tenczyn Castle.

On our fourth full day in Krakow, we'll spend the day exploring Wawel Royal Castle before seeing the torturous chamber of the Executioner Museum.

We'll then go on a day trip to see the nearby Wieliczka and Bochnia Salt Mines to see how Medieval miners monopolized this critical resource.

Participants will then get a day off to freely explore Krakow and nearby villages to explore their history and culture.

Days 1-8: Warsaw

After arriving in Warsaw, we'll spend our first full day exploring Poland's art history National Museum in Warsaw and the Warsaw Poster Museum.

We'll then spend our second full day on a day trip to nearby Żelazowa Wola- the hometown of famous Polish composer Frédéric Chopin.

We'll then spend our third full day in Poland learning about it's most famous scientist with a visit to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Museum before getting dinner from one of Poland's top restaurants- U Wieniawy.

Participants will then get a day off to freely explore Warsaw and nearby towns to explore their history and culture.

On our fourth full day in Poland, we'll spend the day exploring nearby Lublin- once an importance city in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and now home to historic city streets.

We'll then get brunch from Panattoni Café before we go on a day hike in the beautiful nature outside of Warsaw on the Choszczówka trail.

After arriving in Poland, we'll spend our first full day on a day hike up Palenica Mountain to explore the beautiful views of the Pieniny and Tarty mountains.

We'll then spend our second full day exploring the local history of the region with visits to the Niedzica and Czorsztyn castles.

We'll then spend our third full day on a day trip to the nearby Homole Gorge to explore the incredible nature and religious architecture of its landscape.

Participants will then get a day off to freely explore Szczawnica and surrounding countryside to explore their history and natural beauty.

On our fourth full day in Poland, we'll spend the day exploring the art and music of this quiet resort town with visits to the Museum of the Szczawnica Spa and Muzyczna Owczarnia music club.

We'll then have a final day exploring the nature of Szczawnica with visits to Bielska Cave and the peak of Trzy Korony.

Days 1-5:  Prague

After arriving in Prague, we'll spend our first full day getting breakfast from Cafe Savoy before visiting the Prague Coffee Museum.

We'll then spend our second day learning about the influence of Prague's historic Jewish community on the country's food scene with visits to the Jewish Museum and Wenceslas Square.

For our third day in Prague, we'll learn more about the staple ingredients of Czech cuisine with a visit to the National Museum of Agriculture before getting afternoon coffee from Lehka hlava.

We'll then spend our last day in Prague learning about the intersection of art and food with a visit to the Mucha Museum before getting dinner at the world famous Cafe Imperial.

Days  6-9: Pilsen

After taking a train to Pilsen, we'll spend the afternoon touring the Pilsen Historical Underground to learn about the history of the city.

Participants will then get a free day to explore the city of Pilsen for its culture and history- as well as its amazing restaurants.

We'll then spend our second full day in Pilsen touring the Brewery Museum before getting afternoon coffee a Kavarna Cafe Viden.

For our final day in Pilsen, get breakfast from Cafe Diem before learning about the beer that made the city famous with a tour of the Pilzner Urquell Brewery.

Days 10-14: Brno

After taking a train to Brno, we'll spend the afternoon enjoying the coffee and pastries of SKOG Urban Hub.

We'll the spend our first full day in Brno learning about the Romani influences on Czech culture and food with a visit to the Museum of Romani Culture before getting dinner from Zelny trh.

For our second full day in Brno, we'll learn more about the intersection of Czech art and food with a visit to the Moravian Gallery before getting dinner from Element Bar and Restaurant.

After arriving in Budapest, we'll spend our first full day learning about Hungary's Roman architecture with visits to the Thermae Maiores and Aquincum Military Ampitheater before exploring the Aquincum Museum.

We'll then spend our second full day learning about Hungary's Medieval architecture with visits to the Budapest Cave Church and the Franciscan Church Ruin before spending the afternoon at the Budepest History Museum.

We'll then spend our third full day in Budapest learning about Hungary's Ottoman architecture with visits to the Király Baths and Tomb of Gül Baba before spending the afternoon at the Magyar Nemzeti Muzeum.

On our fourth full day in Hungary, we'll spend the day exploring Budapest's Early Modern architecture with visits to the Baroque Erdődy-Hatvany Palace and the Rumbach Street Synagogue before spending the afternoon at the Hungarian National Museum.

We'll then spend our fifth day in Budapest exploring the city's 20th Century architecture with visits to the Városmajor Roman Catholic Church and the Funeral Chapel at Farkasréti Cemetery.

Participants will then get a day off to freely explore Budapest and nearby towns to explore their history and culture.

Days 1-5: Bucharest

After arriving in Romania, we'll spend our first full day in Bucharest visiting the National Museum of Art Romania before getting dinner from the incredible Caru' cu Bere.

 

We'll then spend our second full day on a day trip to nearby Sibiu to see the old Saxon architecture of this once capital of European culture.

On our third full day in Romania, we'll spend the day learning about the relgious architecture of Bucharest with visits to the Stavropoleos Monastery and Catedrala Patriarhală.

We'll then spend our last day in Bucharest learning about Romania's storytelling traditions with a visit to the famous Cărturești Carusel Bookstore and catching a performance from the Opera Națională București.

Days 6-9: Brasov

After taking the bus to Brasov, we'll spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful black church of Biserica Neagră filled with relics from Medieval Romania.

Participants will then get a free day to explore the culture and history of Brasov and the surrounding area on their own.

For our final day in Brasov, we'll learn about Romania's spookier side with a day trip to the nearby haunted Hoia-Baciu Forest- sometimes referred to as Romania's Bermuda Triangle.

Days 10-14: Cluj-Napoca

After taking a train to Cluj-Napoca, we'll spend the afternoon exploring the city's Muzeul Etnografic al Transilvaniei to learn about Romania's folk history.

For our first full day in Cluj-Napoca, we'll head to nearby Turda for a day trip to the underground sci-fi theme park Salina Turda to explore Romania's unique approach to science fiction.

We'll then spend our second full day in Cluj-Napoca on a morning hike in the Turda Gorge before catching drinks later that night at the famous Flying Circus Pub.

For our third full day in Cluj-Napoca, we'll learn about the city's Jewish history with a visit to the Jewish History Museum before getting dinner with Chabad Cluj-Napoca.

We'll then spend our final day in Romania on a day trip to nearby Lacul Știucilor to explore the incredible nature surrounding Romania's deepest lake.
